Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi is arriving in the Indian capital New Delhi on Wednesday evening for her first official visit to India and the sixteenth annual India-Japan summit with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The two leaders are expected to sign around a dozen government-level agreements covering artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals, battery technology and critical minerals, along with nearly 120 private-sector deals.
The visit comes days after China imposed fresh export controls on 40 Japanese entities, sharpening Tokyo's focus on building resilient supply chains with partners such as India.
