Indirect technical talks between the United States and Iran are under way in the Qatari capital Doha, with mediators shuttling between the two sides rather than senior officials meeting face to face.
US envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have been meeting Qatari and other mediators, while three Iranian technical delegations are working through the details of the interim ceasefire deal signed on the seventeenth of June.
Tehran says it will not enter negotiations on a final agreement until Washington begins implementing key parts of that deal, including unfreezing Iranian assets and ensuring safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
