Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi is arriving in New Delhi on Wednesday evening for her first official visit to India and the 16th annual India-Japan summit.
The two leaders are expected to sign around a dozen cooperation agreements covering areas from artificial intelligence to pharmaceuticals and critical minerals.
Diplomatic sources say strengthening resilience against global disruptions will be at the heart of the talks.
