Negotiations between Washington and Tehran at a Swiss resort have stalled after US President Donald Trump threatened to bomb Iran again, with Iranian media reporting the delegation walked out of the talks.
Vice President JD Vance had earlier said "great progress" had been made in rare face-to-face meetings with Iranian officials, but President Trump posted on Truth Social that the US would "hit Iran very hard again" if Tehran did not rein in its allies in Lebanon.
Iran's chief negotiator denounced what he called American desperation.
Gregg Carlstrom, Middle East correspondent for The Economist, says it is difficult to gauge whether any real progress has been achieved.
