US-IRAN TALKS AT SWITZERLAND'S BÜRGENSTOCK RESORT POSTPONED AS IRAN DEMANDS END TO ISRAELI STRIKES IN LEBANON

The Swiss-hosted talks between the United States and Iran have been postponed after Tehran demanded an end to Israeli military operations in Lebanon before negotiations resume.

Israel's military said on Friday that intense fighting in southern Lebanon killed four of its soldiers, while Lebanon's state news agency reported at least sixteen people were killed in overnight Israeli air strikes.

The memorandum of understanding signed earlier in the week includes a commitment to a cessation of hostilities — but Israel has continued its operations.
