China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi has arrived in New Delhi for a two-day meeting of BRICS national security advisers, chaired by India's National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, with Russia's Sergei Shoigu also attending.
The gathering of all eleven BRICS member states comes after the bloc's foreign ministers' meeting in May ended without a joint statement, amid sharp divisions between Iran and the United Arab Emirates over the war in West Asia.
Delegates are expected to tackle what organisers call non-traditional security challenges, from artificial intelligence to counter-terrorism.
