King Charles en route to London to address British people and Commonwealth

King Charles has left Balmoral, where his mother Queen Elizabeth II died yesterday.


He’ll make an address to the nation later today after first meeting Prime Minister Liz Truss, formally marking the moment of royal transition in the UK.

The Reverend Neil Gardner will be among those officiating as the Queen's coffin is taken to St. Giles' Cathedral before it makes it way to London.


He was the Queen's priest, welcoming her to the city whenever she was in residence there.
