British Government Continues To Seek Support For EU Withdrawal Agreement

The British Government is attempting to find compromises to help it win over support for the EU Withdrawal Agreement, with a vote on the draft proposal expected to take place on Tuesday.

MPs have tabled an amendment which would give them more say over the issue of the Northern Ireland backstop - which has been designed as a temporary measure to avoid a hard border between Norther Ireland and the Republic of Ireland following Brexit- if a trade deal with the European Union is not agreed in time.

But, as our UK correspondent Natalie Powell reports, many Brexiteers are still unwilling to agree to the Brexit proposal
