US intelligence chiefs 'never felt pressured' by Trump

Two of America's top intelligence officials have refused to say whether they have been asked to influence an ongoing investigation, amid reports that President Donald Trump asked them to push back against the Russia probe.

US Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats told a senate panel he had "never felt pressured" to influence the Russia inquiry, but wouldn't comment on his conversations with the president.

Director Coats was grilled by Republican Senator Marco Rubio to detail specifics of his conversations with the White House.
