Pound sterling plunges against dollar as hung Parliament looms for UK

With no party mathematically able to win a majority in the UK General Election, the Pound Sterling is dropping sharply against the US dollar.

Currency markets around the world were taken by surprise as the UK voted for a so-called hung Parliament.
