May describes US travel ban as "divisive and wrong"

UK Prime Minister Theresa May says US President Donald Trump's travel ban on people from 7 mainly Muslim countries is "divisive and wrong".

She's been responding to criticism in the House of Commons over an invitation extended to Mr Trump for a state visit to Britain this year.

1.8 million people have signed an online petition against a Trump state visit to the UK.

But Mrs May, who faced criticism for failing to condemn the immigration restrictions earlier, says her position should not be in doubt.
