NTSB Sends Team to Hoboken Crash Site

The National Transportation Safety Board in the US is sending a team of investigators to look into Thursday's fatal train crash in New Jersey.

One person died and around 75 were injured when a commuter train ploughed into a station in Hoboken, just outside New York City.

The NTSB Vice Chair Bella Dinh-Zarr [DIN ZAR] explained the board's immediate priorities:

The NTSB Vice Chair Bella Dinh-Zarr  [DIN ZAR] said that the Positive Train Control system or PTC, which is meant to automatically adjust a train's speed, will be a factor in the investigation, as will previous accidents in the area including one in 2011:
