Ashton Carter Sworn In as US Defence Secretary

Ashton Carter has officially become the 25th US Secretary of Defence, after taking the oath of office in a ceremony at the White House.

The 60 year old, who's already served as Deputy Secretary, was sworn in by Vice President Joe Biden.
