Obama says CIA's use of torture damaged America's global standing

The CIA is being accused of "deception" and "brutality" in the use of torture against al Qaeda suspects after the September 11th attacks.


A report by the US Senate Intelligence Committee says the agency repeatedly misled the public and the government, and that its torture techniques broke legal boundaries.
