Former VP Candidate Joe Lieberman dies, aged 82

Joe Lieberman, the former senator who served as Al Gore's vice presidential running mate in 2000, has died at the age of 82.

He was the first Jewish candidate on a major-party ticket.

Texas immigration law remains blocked

A federal appeals court has ruled that a controversial immigration law
in Texas can't go into effect- at least temporarily.

The law known as SB4 would grant local law enforcement the power to
detain and deport people suspected of crossing the southern border
illegally.

Hunter Biden to challenge tax evasion charges in court

President Joe Biden's son Hunter will ask a U.S. judge to dismiss the criminal case accusing him of evading more than a million dollars in $1.4 million in taxes.

SEARCH UNDERWAY FOR BODIES OF BALTIMORE BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION WORKERS

A search continues for the bodies of six missing construction workers who are presumed to have fallen into the river after a bridge collapse in Baltimore.

On Wednesday divers recovered the 'black box' from the 300 metre container ship, which will be used to help ascertain what caused it to collide with the bridge.

Singapore Investigators Heading to Baltimore to Help with Probe


Singapore's port authority says a team of investigators are on their way to Baltimore to assist US authorities on the ship that collided with a bridge.

The Marine Port Authority will also conduct its own investigation into how the Singapore-flagged vessel caused the bridge collapse.

N Korea rejects talk of talks with Japan
