Trump and Putin discuss Iran, Ukraine ceasefire over telephone

During the hour-and-a-half long telephone conversation US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the Middle East crisis and a possible short-term ceasefire in Ukraine in early May. The Kremlin said that Trump supported the ceasefire idea. The White House had rejected Russia's offer to help on the issue of Iran’s nuclear program. Daria Bondarchuk reports from Moscow.

BANK OF ENGLAND HOLDS INTEREST RATE AMID IRAN UNCERTAINTY

The UK central bank has decided to keep its interest rate at 3.75%, largely due to uncertainty about the ongoing effect of the war in Iran.
