Kevin Warsh has cleared a major hurdle to becoming the next head of the US Federal Reserve. President Donald Trump’s nominee got the greenlight from the Senate Banking Committee on Wednesday, paving the way for the current Fed Chair Jerome Powell to step down on May 15th. President Trump has repeatedly attacked Powell and threatened to fire him for not lowering interest rates fast enough. Toni Waterman has more.
