French energy prices spike as Europe continues to suffer impact of Middle East conflict

French energy prices have spiked - the latest sign of the ongoing ramifications in Europe over the Middle East conflict.

Energy costs rose 14.2 per cent year-on-year in April in France, and consumer prices increased by more than 2 per cent in the same period.
