The United States and Iran are both claiming victory and have agreed to a two-week ceasefire.

It comes after President Trump threatened to end a "whole civilization" if no deal was reached.

The ceasefire is proving to be a fragile one.

Iran is accusing Israel of violating the agreement with its strikes on Hezbollah targets in Beirut.

According to Iranian state news, oil tanker traffic has once again stalled in the Strait of Hormuz as a result.

The White House is also denying that the 10 point plan shared by Iranian media outlets is the same proposal described by Donald Trump as "workable" and the basis for upcoming negotiations in Islamabad.



Democrats strong showing in state elections

Republican candidate Clay Fuller has won former Trump ally Marjorie Taylor Greene’s House seat  but Democrats narrowed the gap in the deep-red Georgia district.

Democrats also performed well in Wisconsin, where Chris Taylor, a liberal appeals court judge, captured a State Supreme Court seat.
