Inflation in the US slowed in April, with President Trump's tariffs having little impact on prices so far.

Despite that, Wall Street opened lower on Friday — after Mr. Trump claimed China had violated a trade agreement with the US.

HAMAS SET TO REJECT CEASEFIRE OFFER

White House: Israel accepts new ceasefire proposal

The White House says Israel's accepted a new US proposal for a temporary ceasefire with Hamas.

Trump's tariffs can continue judge rules

US president Donald Trump's global tariffs have been temporarily
reinstated, after a federal appeals court agreed to pause a ruling
halting the import taxes while it considers the White House's appeal.

The Trump administration had threatened to go to the Supreme Court if
it was unable to block the trade court's ruling that said the
president had exceeded his authority in imposing the tariffs.

Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs regime has been blocked by a federal trade court in the US.

The three-judge panel ruled the President overstepped his authority by using an emergency-powers law to impose the duties.
