President Donald Trump has called India's missile attack against Pakistan "a shame" as concerns mount that the region is on the brink of war.

Pakistan's President has vowed retaliation - saying India must suffer the consequences of its cowardly attack.

New Delhi launched the airstrike overnight - targeting what it called terrorist infrastructure. It comes days after 26 tourists were killed in a terrorist attack in Indian administration Kashmir.

US and China to launch formal trade talks

India halts river water to Pakistan for hydro projects, heightening tensions
