Ukraine's President Zelensky has described Vladimir Putin's response about a possible truce as "just another Russian manipulation".

The Russian leader says he's in favour of a ceasefire - as long as it comes with a series of conditions.

Vladimir Putin says any agreement should address the root causes of the conflict.

Former special counsel for international affairs at the US Department of Defence Jeffrey Pryce says Russia will drive a hard bargain.

The French wine and spirits industry has reacted with anger at the prospect of a 200% tariff on its exports to the United States — which American President Donald Trump is threatening in a tit-for-tat trade war with the European Union.

Democrats consider whether to vote in favour of stop-gap funding or risk government shutdown

Pakistan tightens security on its western borders after the train hostage incident
