Democrats consider whether to vote in favour of stop-gap funding or risk government shutdown

Senate Democrats are trying to decide how to vote on a stop-gap funding bill. It was passed by the House, which has a slightly Republican majority, earlier in the week.

There is a deadline of Friday midnight before a government shutdown, if funding is not agreed on. Caroline Malone reports.
