Uganda Ebola Cases Climbs to 12

Uganda has reported two new cases of Ebola, just weeks after discharging all recovered patients.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 12 since the outbreak was declared on 30 January.

40% Of Brits Haven't Read A Book In The Past Year

40% of people in the UK have not read or listened to a book in the past 12 months.


That's the findings of a poll by YouGov for World Book Day. The annual event is designed to improve literacy and encourage children to read for fun.


A recent study by the National Literacy Trust found only a third of British 8 to 18 year olds enjoying reading in their spare time, the lowest level since the survey was first carried out 19 years ago.
