Trump acknowledges tariffs may bring "pain" to Americans

US President Donald Trump has defended his decision to impose sweeping tariffs on the United States' top three trading partners, even as he acknowledged there may be "some pain" for Americans.

Posting on his Truth Social platform he hit back at criticism arguing the action was warranted against China, Canada and Mexico.

That's despite concerns the move will push up prices for US consumers.

The White House says US President Donald Trump is "making air travel
safer" by reviewing hiring practices following Wednesday night's fatal
mid-air collision in Washington.

Extra Funding For UK Police Amid Budget Shortfalls And Staffing Cuts

An extra £100 million ($124 million) will be spent on neighbourhood policing in the UK to help target anti-social behaviour.
