BIDEN: NEW ORLEANS ATTACKER INSPIRED BY ISIS

US President Joe Biden says the attacker who killed 15 people in New Orleans was inspired by the Islamic State group.

The driver of the truck has been identified as US army veteran Shamsud-Din Jabbar, who had an ISIS flag with him.

Investigators are looking into whether there's any connection with the explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas hours later on Wednesday.

Authorities believe Shamsud-Din Jabbar may have had accomplices.

Althea Duncan from the FBI says an "intensive" investigation is taking place.
