Ukraine seeks EU and NATO support for Victory plan

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has presented his victory plan
to European leaders and NATO allies in Brussels.

Zelenskyy announced his plan to Ukrainian lawmakers on Wednesday which
includes an unconditional invite to join the military alliance.

HAMAS LEADER 'LIKELY' KILLED IN GAZA

There's growing confidence in Israel that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar has been killed in Gaza.

Testing is being carried out to establish whether he was one of several people killed in a military operation.

WHO confirms first case of cholera in Lebanon

The United Nations says it has detected the first case of cholera in
Northern Lebanon, sparking fears of an outbreak amongst those
displaced by the war.
Since the start of intense fighting in Lebanon, many have fled to the
northern parts of the country.
According to official UN data some 1.2 million people have so far been uprooted.

Israel assessing whether it killed key Hamas leader in Gaza

Israeli officials say they are testing the body of a slain Palestinian in Gaza, to see whether they have killed a key Hamas leader in the territory.


Yahya Sinwa, jailed by the Israelis for decades, had become the movement's most powerful figure in the months since the October 7th attacks by Hamas on Israel.


US officials have confirmed that the Israelis think they may have killed the Hamas leader, as our US correspondent Simon Marks reports.

Imran Khan's party is bracing to hold country wide protests

India-Pakistan Foreign Ministers hold 'informal' talks, first since 2015

India's Foreign Minister Dr S Jaishankar has reportedly held informal talks with his Pakistani counterpart.

Jaishankar is in Islamabad for the Shanghai Cooperation Summit organisation, making it the first visit by an Indian Minister to Pakistan in nearly a decade.

The two countries downgraded ties in 2019, following disagreements over the disputed territory of Kashmir.

Airbus to cut 2,500 jobs

Presidential election gets underway in the U.S. state of Georgia with record early voting

A record number of people turned up on the first day of early voting for the U.S. Presidential election in the state of Georgia; 300 thousand voters had cast their ballot by the end of Tuesday - nearly double the number from the last election in 2020.

It's a critical swing state that went to the Democrats and President Joe Biden last time, despite complaints of miscounting by former President Donald Trump which were disproven.
