Pakistani authorities have restricted public gatherings for demonstrations

India says China reneged on border agreements

India's Foreign Minister has accused China of reneging on border agreements once again.

This comes even as New Delhi and Beijing have recently said they're trying to disengage along disputed border areas.

A border clash between troops four years ago in the Himalayan region of Ladakh has still not been resolved, with New Delhi saying this will be the fifth winter that soldiers will remain actively deployed along that frontier.

ISRAEL WARNS IRAN OF CONSEQUENCES AFTER MISSILE ATTACK

Israel is warning Iran there will be consequences after dozens of missiles were fired towards the country.

Iranian state television says 200 missiles were fired at Israel, with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps saying it was in retaliation for the killings of Hezbollah and Hamas leaders.

The US and UK were involved in defending Israel from the missile attack.

Millions without power, hundreds still missing in the U.S. following Hurricane Helene


People are still without power in 1.5 million homes on Tuesday, across at least five U.S. states hit by Hurricane Helene.
At least 130 people are known to have died, but hundreds of people are still missing -- some potentially trapped without internet or phone network - after the storm and devastating floods.

Iran preparing to launch ballistic missile at Israel per US

Iran is preparing to launch an imminent ballistic missile attack on Israel according to a White House official.


In a statement the official said that the US is preparing to help defend Israel and that "a direct military attack from Iran against Israel will carry severe consequences for Iran."

UN Chief calls for ceasefire following Lebanon escalation

United Nations chief António Guterres is calling for an immediate ceasefire following Israel's ground offensive in Lebanon on Tuesday.


The secretary general is "extremely concerned" with the escalation of the conflict, according to his spokesperson.


It comes as a senior White House official told media that the US has indications Iran is preparing to "imminently launch a ballistic missile attack against Israel".
