Judge who dismissed Trump documents case to oversee assassination case
The federal judge who dismissed the classified documents case against Donald Trump is now set to oversee the case involving the alleged assassination attempt on the former president.
The case was randomly assigned to District Judge Aileen Cannon after a grand jury indicted Ryan Routh, the man arrested outside of Trump's golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida earlier this month.
