Ghana signs nuclear deal with US


Ghana and the US have signed a landmark deal to set up a nuclear power plant in the West African nation.
It comes as Ghana seeks to improve energy security to boost industrialization and economic growth.

UK WORKERS TO HAVE RIGHT TO REQUEST FOUR DAY WORK WEEK

Workers in the UK could get the right to ask employers for a four day work week under new government plans.

It would see employees able to compress their weekly hours into four days, and still receive full pay.

But the government is not planning to impose a four-day working week on employers.

It's part of Labour's promised legislation to boost workers' rights - which Nicola Smith from TUC says also needs to address zero-hour contracts which don't guarantee shifts.

Shanshan brings downpours to central Japan

Authorities in Japan are urging people to remain vigilant as Tropical Storm Shanshan moves over the country.

Hate crimes on the rise in NYC

Hate crimes in New York surged nearly 13% in 2023 compared to the year before, according to a new report.


Data released by the state shows almost half of the incidents last year were against Jews - Black people and gay men were also targeted.
