More US Democratic lawmakers have told President Joe Biden it's time
to step aside as calls grow for him to suspend his re-election bid.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries met Biden at the White House
late on Thursday to convey the concerns of House Democrats.
While influential mega donors are reportedly holding back $90 million
of fundraising until the president drops out.
But his allies continue to voice their support for him.
California Governor Gavin Newsom - considered a possible replacement
for Biden - was asked by CBS if he was entertaining ideas of forcing
the president aside.
