President Biden swats away calls to step aside, as he's hit with more dissenters

US President Joe Biden remains heavily under the cosh after a handful more members of Congress from his own Democrat Party joined a growing list of lawmakers demanding he drop out of the race for the White House. 


Those calls for the 81-year-old to step aside have escalated since the President stumbled through a recent TV debate with former President Donald Trump.


In an effort to allay fears about his fitness for office, Joe Biden held an highly-anticipated hour-long press conference last night at the NATO summit, before meeting Minority Leader of the House of Representatives Hakeem Jeffries, where the two men shared “heartfelt perspectives about the path forward.
