US criticises ICC arrest warrant application

The United States has condemned the International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor for seeking arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas leaders. 


President Joe Biden says the application is "outrageous," and has promised to  "stand with Israel."

Dali container ship refloated in Balitmore, following catastrophic bridge collapse

The container ship responsible for the deadly collapse of a major US
bridge has been refloated.

Intense heatwave in North India impacts fifth phase of polling in elections

An intense heatwave is gripping India's capital New Delhi and parts of the north of the country as the nation votes in its fifth phase of polling.

Experts say with temperatures ranging from 43 to 48 degrees Celsius, voter turnout in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, where 14 parliamentary seats go to polls on Monday, is likely to be impacted.

IRANIAN PRESIDENT CONFIRMED DEAD IN HELICOPTER CRASH

An attorney from Donald Trump's legal team says the prosecution's star
witness Michael Cohen has "completely collapsed" under cross
examination.

It comes ahead of Cohen's return to the witness stand on Monday where
he will continue to be grilled by the former president's lawyers.

Cohen, Trump's ex-fixer claims he paid hush money - on Trump's asking
- to cover up an affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels, claims
that Trump denies.

Iran's president missing after helicopter crash

Search and rescue operations are underway in Iran after a helicopter
carrying the country's President crashed.

Sullivan pushes Gaza peace plan in Israel visit

US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan is in Israel to discuss
ceasefire talks and dissuade the Israeli military from launching a
full scale assault on Rafah.

The Biden administration is concerned about the hundreds of thousands

Paul Pelosi attacker sentenced to 30 years

The man who broke into US Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi's house and attacked her husband Paul Pelosi with a hammer has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.


David Depape (DA POP) has admitted he planned to kidnap Nancy Pelosi, who was one of the top-ranking US officials at the time.

Aid arrives into Gaza via US floating pier

International humanitarian aid has begun moving ashore into Gaza after arriving via a floating pier in the sea built by the US military.


The operation sees ships carry aid from the Mediterranean island of Cyprus to a dock, then transferred on boats to a port and onto lorries for distribution.


It was supposed to be functioning earlier this month, but construction was hampered with logistical, weather and security challenges.

World number one golfer Scottie Scheffler arrested

World number one golfer Scottie Scheffler has been released by police after he was arrested for driving through a cordon and charged with assaulting an officer.

UN continues its warning that food and fuel might run out in Rafah
