Trump again likens Navalny death to his own troubles

Donald Trump has again compared his compounding legal woes to the treatment of Alexei Navalny.

The former US President called his most recent trial — one of many he faces as he vies for the Oval Office — "a form of Navalny," in reference to the Russian opposition leader, who died in an Arctic penal colony last week.

Mr Trump refrained from blaming Russia's President Vladimir Putin for the death, after President Joe Biden said his Russian counterpart was responsible, accusations the Kremlin insists are "obnoxious."
