Nigeria to Release Report into Military Air Strike That Killed Civilians This Month

Nigeria's Defense chief, General Christopher says reports into a military drone attack that killed over 80 civilians in northern Kaduna state in December will be released by the end of February.


Nigeria's President had ordered a thorough investigation following the attack, which the military said was targeted at insurgents and bandits.

European satellite to crash back to Earth

A European satellite will crash back to Earth on Wednesday, after nearly 30 years in space.

ERS2 was pioneering when it launched but it will mostly burn up on its re-entry to the atmosphere.

Indian Court quashes local mayoral poll results over allegations of tampering in favour of ruling BJP

A day after the Indian Supreme Court set aside a local election result that saw Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party win, opposition leaders have welcomed the ruling.

They say democracy has been saved.

US and Russia to take part in India's naval drills

India's defence minister is set to inaugurate an international naval exercise that brings together some 50 countries including the US, Russia, and Iran, amid geopolitical tensions.

Nvidia overtakes Tesla as Wall Street's most traded stock

Chipmaker Nvidia has overtaken car giant Tesla as the most traded stock on the US stock market.


Demand for the chips, which are used by Artificial Intelligence developers, has soared in recent years.


All eyes are on Nvidia's fourth quarter earnings, due out on Wednesday.

Two charged with Kansas City Super Bowl shooting

US to impose additional sanctions on Russia following Navalny death

The United States is announcing a "major sanctions package" to hold Russia and its President Vladimir Putin accountable for the death of Alexei Navalny and the war in Ukraine.

EU launches "Aspides" mission to protect global shipping in Red Sea
