Kishida claims “understanding” of Fukushima discharge spread at G20

Japan’s Prime Minister is claiming that more nations are on board with the country’s decision to discharge contaminated, treated nuclear wastewater into the Pacific Ocean, following the G20 summit in India. 

Tokyo is now renewing calls for China to lift a blanket ban on Japanese seafood it implemented last month in opposition to the project.

US prepares to mark 9/11 terror attacks anniversary

The US is preparing to mark the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

President Joe Biden will mark the occasion with serving military and
their families in Alaska.

However, many families of the almost 3,000 people who were killed
still want answers, and for those who orchestrated the attacks to be
held accountable.

Brett Eagleson's father was killed in the World Trade Center and says
families deserve to know more about Saudi Arabia's possible

Rescuers in Morocco race to find survivors

Rescuers in Morocco are racing to find people trapped under buildings

G20 summit kicks off amid differences over Russia-Ukraine war

The G20 summit in New Delhi has kicked off with the arrival of world leaders. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin have skipped the summit - and will be represented  by China's Premier Li Qiang, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Two Irish tourists killed by car in Rome described back home as "wonderful neighbours"


Two Irish tourists killed when they were hit by a car in Rome have been described as "friendly and wonderful neighbours."

According to Irish media, Paul and Mary O'Reilly were aged 60 and 59 respectively.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Russia launches elections in occupied Ukrainian regions to tighten control over the annexed territories

Despite global pressure Russia went ahead with regional and gubernatorial elections not only on its territory, but also in the occupied Ukrainian regions of Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, and Luhansk. Ukraine and the West have denounced Kremlin's attempts to tighten its grip of the annexed territories it still can not fully control. The US warned anyone against taking part of what it labelled "a sham vote". The Council of Europe called Moscow's move a "flagrant violation of international law".
