Kishida claims “understanding” of Fukushima discharge spread at G20

Japan’s Prime Minister is claiming that more nations are on board with the country’s decision to discharge contaminated, treated nuclear wastewater into the Pacific Ocean, following the G20 summit in India. 

Tokyo is now renewing calls for China to lift a blanket ban on Japanese seafood it implemented last month in opposition to the project.

G20 summit kicks off amid differences over Russia-Ukraine war

Russia launches elections in occupied Ukrainian regions to tighten control over the annexed territories

Despite global pressure Russia went ahead with regional and gubernatorial elections not only on its territory, but also in the occupied Ukrainian regions of Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, and Luhansk.
