50 INJURED AFTER EXPLOSION AT MOSCOW OPTICS FACTORY

At least 50 people have been injured 50 kilometres northeast of Moscow after an optics factory exploded.

The cause is under investigation, though the emergency services do not at this point believe it's the result of a Ukrainian drone attack.

Italian media: 41 migrants dead after boat sank in Mediterranean


Italian media are reporting that at least 41 migrants have died after their boat sank in the Mediterranean Sea.

Four survivors have now reached the Italian island of Lampedusa, which lies off the coast of Tunisia and is a common target for migrant boats.

The blaze broke out in a chalet for people who have a disability, and 17 of those inside were brought to safety by the emergency services.

British water companies face legal action over sewage discharges

UK AND TURKEY ANNOUNCE MIGRATION DEAL

The UK's announced a deal with Turkey designed to disrupt people smuggling gangs.

Legislators visit U.S. Mexico border condemning 'drowning devices' put in river

Texas legislators visited the U.S. Mexico border region of Eagle Pass on Tuesday, to speak out against the state's Lone Star policy, that includes a barrier put in the middle of the Rio Grande river to block migrants.

People trying to cross over have died in the waterway including one person whose body was found caught in the barrier last week.
