West African leaders are scheduled to meet for a second time in Abuja to decide on the next step of action on Niger after the military junta defied their demands.
The leaders of the regional bloc, ECOWAS had issued a one week ultimatum to the coup plotters to reinstate president Bazoum or face possible military intervention.
