FDA authorizes COVID booster for over 65s

The Food and Drug Administration has authorized another round of COVID-19 booster shots for people over 65 years old and for individuals with compromised immune systems. While infections and deaths have somewhat leveled off, CDC data show more than 1,300 people a week are still dying from Covid.

Diplomats attacked in Sudan

A United States diplomatic convoy has come under fire in Khartoum as
days of fighting continue in Sudan.
The United Nations has also reported casualties with the Secretary
General calling for an immediate seize-fire.
Armed clashes began on Saturday, between the Sudanese Armed Forces
loyal to the head of the military government and the paramilitary RAF.

Sudan agrees 24-hour ceasefire

A ceasefire has been agreed in Sudan providing a 24-hour window for humanitarian aid. A power struggle between the army and a paramilitary group has left at least 185 people dead across the country in the past four days. Singapore tanker recovered off Gulf of Guinea, crew safe

Officials in Cote D'Ivoire say they have located a Singapore-registered oil tanker that was boarded by 'unidentified persons' off its coast.
At least 20 crew members were on board the ship when it was rescued.

Russian court rejects appeal of WSJ reporter

UK energy firms banned from forcibly installing energy meters for the over-85s’

Britain's energy firms will no longer be allowed to forcibly enter the homes of customers over the age of 85 in order to fit prepayment meters. White man charged with shooting Black teen who mistakenly rang his doorbell
