EU sanctions Iranian minister, morality police over protest crackdown and Mahsa Amini death
The European Union has imposed new sanctions on eleven people and four entities in Iran which the bloc says are responsible for the death of Mahsa Amini and subsequent human rights violations.
Demonstrations erupted in Iran after 22-year-old Mahsa Amini died in detention last month. The EU accuses Iranian authorities of violently repressing peaceful protesters.

DRC SOLDIERS SENTENCED
A military court in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of Congo has sentenced two army officers to death for killing two Chinese mine workers in March.

EU ministers set to back sanctions over protest crackdown in Iran
European Union foreign ministers are expected to greenlight sanctions over what the bloc calls Iran's violent repression of protests which swept the nation following the death in custody of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini.
