Inflation in the Euro area hit 10% in September, a new record replacing the previous all-time high of 9.1% in August.
The rise, across the nineteen countries which use the euro currency, is partly driven by soaring energy prices amid the fallout of Russia's war in Ukraine.

Covid isolation rules will be scrapped within a fortnight, but Australia's peak medical body believes the move will have "dangerous consequences".
Bringing an end to mandatory isolation has been the key topic of discussion amongst the countries state and territory leaders at the countries National Cabinet meeting.
