Biden warns of "substantial loss of life" from Hurricane Ian

US President Joe Biden has warned there is likely to be "substantial
loss of life" following Hurricane Ian's devastating path through
Florida.

The category-four storm caused severe flooding, high winds and storm
surges across the US state.

Biden has declared it a "major disaster" and approved federal disaster funds.

The President also warned that a high death toll is likely.
