U.S. consumer prices rose 8.5% in July, slightly less than expected

The latest U.S. inflation figures are out, and consumer prices rose
8.5% year over year in July.

It's slightly less than the 8.8% analysts had predicted, as inflation
pressures seem to be easing a little.

CRIMEA EXPLOSIONS FORCE RELOCATION

The head of the Russian administered Republic of Crimea says around 250 people living on its western coast have been provided with temporary accommodation after a series of explosions at a military airbase.

On Tuesday, nearby beachgoers reported between ten and fifteen large explosions, which authorities in Crimea say killed one, and injured thirteen others.

Ukraine hasn't admitted to being behind the attack, but says nine Russian military planes were destroyed - hundreds of kilometres behind the front line of fighting.

UK families pushed into debt as energy bills soar

Nigeria Military Captures Perpetrators of Owo Church Attack

FDA authorizes plan to stretch monkeypox vaccine doses

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced a new strategy to
try to stretch the country's short supply of monkeypox vaccines.

Health providers will now be able to split doses, in the hopes of
vaccinating up to five times as many people against the virus.

The country has become the global epicenter of the outbreak, with
close to 9000 known cases as of Tuesday, and no sign of slowing.

Suspected jihadists kill at least 21 in north Mali attack
