U.S. court jails Nigerian Fintech executives for $167 million money laundering

A U.S court in Texas has sentenced two Nigerian founders of a fintech company to 27 months in prison for their role in sending $160 million in fraud earnings to Nigeria through their company, Ping Express U.S. LLC.


According to a statement by the US Department of Justice the firm acknowledged it failed to maintain an effective anti-money laundering and unlicensed money transmission programme over the last three years.

EU, China hold high level trade talks amid frosty relations

The European Union and China are holding virtual trade talks after months of delays.

Searing Heat Expected to Last for Extended Period in China

Report into Uvalde, Texas shooting highlights “systemic failures and egregious poor decision making”

A 77-page report investigating the massacre at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas has found "systemic failures and egregious poor decision making" blighted the police response, after officers waited for more than an hour in the school hallways before breaching the classroom and killing the gunman.

UK braces for record-breaking heat

Uganda Refugee Response Operations Gets $21m From United States
