As the UK experiences an unprecedented heatwave the Met Office is awaiting confirmation record temperatures have been measured in Wales. Forecasters predict some areas in England could hit 40 degrees Celsius or 104 degrees Fahrenheit this week, with extreme weather warnings issued across swathes of the country.
