Boris Johnson's attempting his latest re-set of his government with a pledge to boost home ownership.

He says he wants people who receive housing benefits from the state to be able to put that towards a mortgage.

Uvalde parents, witnesses demand action on guns in emotional Congressional testimony

There's been emotional testimony in Washington at a Congressional committee hearing on proposed gun laws in light of a spate of recent mass shootings across the United States.


The House of Representatives is expected to vote on proposals that include raising the legal age for the purchase of assault rifles from 18 to 21.
