UK fashion retailer, ASOS, predicts huge fall in profits due to Brexit and supply chain demands

 ASOS, one of the UK's leading online fashion retailers, says its profits could fall by as much as 40% over the next year.


The company blames the expected fall on chain supply demands and Brexit duties.

Coal Crisis: Indian government says ample stocks of coal available for power demand

India is denying claims made by regional governments that the country is on the brink of a power crisis.

The Coal Ministry of India says fears of a disruption in power supply are "entirely misplaced".

According to data published by the Indian government, more than 52% of the country's electricity is generated by coal.

COVID PASSES COME INTO FORCE IN WALES

China enraged by Taiwan’s National Day Rally speech

China has reacted with fury at a speech delivered by Taiwan's president Tsai Ing-wen at the island's National Day Rally.


Tsai says that nobody can force the island to accept Chinese rule, as it offers neither freedom nor democracy.


This comes as the self-ruled island faces growing military and political pressure from Beijing, which claims Taiwan as its own territory.

Chinese tech stocks rebound as investors bet on end to regulation
