Tata emerges as winning bidder for Air India

INTRO:

Tata Sons has emerged as the winning bidder for loss-making Air India, following years of struggling to privatise the national carrier.

The decision sees history coming full circle, as Air India was founded by JRD Tata in the 1930s before its nationalisation about 20 years later.
