US to Open to Vaccinated Travelers in November

The US will soon allow foreign nationals to enter the country if they show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 as well as a recent negative test for the virus.

The move effectively ends travel bans for people traveling from the EU, China and elsewhere that have been in place for over a year.

Kidnappers release 10 students abducted two months ago from Nigerian school


Kidnappers in Nigeria have released 10 more students earlier abducted from a school in Kaduna state in the northwest part of the country.

The victims have been in captivity for two months now and some others are yet to regain their freedom.

5000 people evacuated as volcano erupts in Canary Islands


About 5000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes after a volcano erupted in the Canary Islands.

Gunman arrested after killing 8 in Perm, Russia

A gunman has been detained by police in the Russian city of Perm, after killing 8 and injuring 28 at the city's university.

Remains found "consistent" with description of missing woman Gabby Petito

Biden and Macron to have phone call following submarine row

US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanual Macron are due to speak over the phone in the coming days following a diplomatic row over a new defence pact between the US UK and Australia.

French spokesperson Gabriel Attal said Mr Biden had initiated the call.

The new trilateral arrangement will allow Australia to acquire nuclear-powered submarines using British and American technology but it resulted in France losing a multi billion dollar submarine contract with Australia.
