ENERGY COSTS HIKE PLACING UK FIRMS AT RISK

The UK government is reported to be considering offering emergency loans to energy companies struggling to cope with surging energy prices. The UK's sixth largest energy firm has already asked for support - and there are concerns a number of other smaller utility companies could go bust. Laura Makin-Isherwood reports.
